About the Founder and Artist
Diana Diaz is a self-taught Mexican artist who established the brand Diaz Arte in 2018. Her brand and artistic vision are rooted in her upbringing in San Francisco, particularly in the Mission District, along with her culture and community. Diana's work is a genuine reflection of her pride in her heritage, interests, and life experiences.
Diana's art style features bold line work and high-contrast colors, connecting symbols of urban and modern life. Her diverse portfolio includes everything from digital illustrations to mixed media pieces.
Diana's expertise extends beyond her artistic endeavors; she also has over a decade of experience in youth development, working as a Program Director with students at an elementary school. Before stepping into supervisory roles, she served as an after-school art teacher.
Currently, Diana continues to balance her full-time job while creating art to showcase and sell through this website and community events/pop-ups in the Bay Area.
About the Brand
Diaz Arte originated as a platform for Diana to showcase her artwork on social media and in person. What started with sticker sales in 2018 has gradually transformed into a brand that offers a diverse array of products. Diana’s art has manifested in apparel, tote bags, stickers, paintings, and many other tangible items.
While Diaz Arte functions as a lifestyle brand intentionally designed to be worn, used, and integrated into daily life, at its core, it revolves around art and culture.
Additionally, the brand includes commissioned work for Diana, such as digital illustrations and logos for local community groups and agencies. It has also expanded to offer group painting lessons.
Diana's vision for the brand is to continue expanding into various products and services while ensuring accessibility, allowing more people to connect with her art.
